Essays and Exams

For many days now I have been working on three different essays. My goal was originally to have them all done by Thursday the 21st and have them out of the way for my Metaphysics exam on Wednesday the 27th... all has not gone according to plan.

The freedom here is amazing, but it makes class work seem like a joke. Such little work is required that when I finally have to DO something, it seems trivial, and I have difficulty making myself get it done. At any rate, these are my assignments:
1) Poetry essay, 3000 words, Sharon Olds' use of imagery and contrast
2) Irish lit essay, 2000 words, Irish history and gothicism
3) Irish lit essay, 2000 words, Elizabeth Bowen's The Heat of the Day

Both Irish lit essays are due on Friday the 22nd, and my the poetry one is due on Monday the 25th. I started working on the poetry essay first since it was the longest, and now that I have a first draft minus a conclusion, I'm setting it aside. I have the first draft for one of the Irish lit essays done; by the end of today I hope to finish the draft for the second one too.

Not long left now...
